Deployment Christmas Party a Success! On December 10, 2006, the MFRC-NCR Deployment Services Department hosted a Christmas party for families of deployed members. More than 70 people partook of this event.

Early in the afternoon, participants were entertained by the Junkyard Symphony, who are always a hit. But the kids were really excited by the fact that Santa, a huge supporter of Canadian military families, dropped by to pay them a surprise visit! He and his assistant, Miss Elf, distributed presents to the children and stayed for a picture-taking session.
Families also enjoyed a traditional holiday meal while catching up and chatting with friends, new and old.
